I can't stop thinking about food
"Only eat if you're hungry."
For most of my life, that statement felt like a moral imperative. If I ate when my tummy wasn't grumbling, it felt indulgent, gratuitous. In this video, I introduce the topic of "psychological hunger" - essentially, the desire to eat in the absence of physiological indicators of hunger.
Understanding and accepting my psychological hunger was integral to my recovery from disordered eating. I hope this concept helps you as well!
